Gentle Beginnings Gift Voucher — Terms & Conditions

1. About your gift voucher

Gentle Beginnings gift vouchers are available as either:

• a nominated dollar amount to be used towards eligible Gentle Beginnings services; or

• a voucher for a specific Gentle Beginnings service or support experience.

The type and value of the voucher will be stated on the voucher provided to the recipient.

2. How your voucher can be used

Gift vouchers may be redeemed towards eligible Gentle Beginnings services offered by Gentle Beginnings – Doula Support.

Dollar-value vouchers may be used as full or partial payment towards an eligible service.

If the service selected costs more than the voucher value, the remaining balance must be paid by the voucher holder before or at the time the service is provided, as agreed with Gentle Beginnings.

Where permitted, multiple Gentle Beginnings gift vouchers may be combined towards the purchase of an eligible service.

Specific service vouchers can only be redeemed for the service stated on the voucher. If the recipient would prefer to use the voucher towards another Gentle Beginnings service, please contact Gentle Beginnings to discuss the available options.

3. Booking your service

All services must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

A gift voucher does not guarantee a particular date or time.

The recipient should contact Gentle Beginnings as early as reasonably possible to arrange their booking, particularly for services that require advance planning or availability around a baby's due date.

4. Voucher expiry

Gift vouchers are valid for at least three years from the date of purchase, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law requirements applicable to most gift cards and vouchers. The expiry date will be clearly displayed on the voucher.

A voucher cannot be redeemed after its expiry date unless otherwise agreed by Gentle Beginnings.

5. No cash redemption

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or redeemed for a cash equivalent.

Where a service costs less than the value of a dollar-value voucher, the remaining voucher balance will remain available for use towards another eligible Gentle Beginnings service, subject to the voucher's expiry date.

6. Transfer of vouchers

Gift vouchers may be gifted or transferred to another person before they have been redeemed.

Once a voucher has been partially or fully redeemed, the remaining balance cannot be transferred without prior agreement from Gentle Beginnings.

7. Lost or damaged vouchers

Please keep your gift voucher and voucher code safe.

If a voucher is lost, stolen or damaged, please contact Gentle Beginnings as soon as possible. Where we can verify the original purchase and remaining balance, we may be able to reissue the voucher or provide the relevant voucher details.

8. Cancellation and rescheduling

Bookings made using a gift voucher are subject to the usual Gentle Beginnings cancellation and rescheduling policy.

If a recipient needs to cancel or reschedule a booking, they should provide as much notice as possible.

Failure to attend an appointment or cancellation without the required notice may result in the relevant service being considered redeemed, where permitted under the applicable cancellation policy.

9. Changes to services and pricing

Gentle Beginnings may update its services and pricing from time to time.

A dollar-value gift voucher retains the dollar value for which it was purchased and may be applied towards the current price of an eligible service.

If the price of the selected service has increased since the voucher was purchased, the recipient will be responsible for paying the difference.

Specific service vouchers will be honoured for the service stated on the voucher, subject to availability and any reasonable changes to the way that service is delivered.

10. Availability and service area

Gentle Beginnings services are provided within the service area advertised by Gentle Beginnings and are subject to availability.

Some services may have additional requirements relating to location, timing or suitability. These will be discussed with the recipient when the booking is made.

11. Nature of Gentle Beginnings services

Gentle Beginnings provides non-clinical doula and practical support.

Gift vouchers do not entitle the recipient to medical care, diagnosis, treatment, clinical assessment or other services outside the scope of Gentle Beginnings' advertised services.

Where a matter falls outside the scope of Gentle Beginnings' services, the recipient may be encouraged to seek advice from their midwife, doctor or other appropriately qualified health professional.

12. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

Consumers retain their rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including applicable consumer guarantees.

13. Refunds

Gift vouchers are generally non-refundable once purchased, except where a refund or other remedy is required by Australian Consumer Law or otherwise agreed by Gentle Beginnings.

Nothing in this section is intended to remove or limit any rights the purchaser or recipient may have under Australian Consumer Law.
